About usThis site is owned by Independent Booksellers' Network, a group of
booksellers who wish to preserve their independence, provide a service
to their customers and maintain contact with them.
Many of our members sell their books on some of the major bookselling
websites. Some of these sites hide completely the real owner of books for sale and others will show the name of the bookseller but not any contact details.
On this site we show all our members contact details. Our members offer a
large number of titles and a wide range of genres. In the future our sellers may have their own
page where they will list all the sites where you can view their
stock. In the meantime please ask them direct.
Some bookselling websites offer more restrictive trading terms than
others. Do take the advice of the bookseller on where to buy on the most
Our bookseller-members value their customers - that is why they want
to retain contact with them. You will be buying from sellers who care
both for the books they sell and their new owners! They hope that you will be pleased enough with any purchase that you will come back when you want to buy again.
We believe in only offering membership to experienced sellers with high
standards of service. For your protection all our member booksellers
undergo a vetting procedure before joining and then have to complete a
probationary year. Any complaints will always be taken seriously,
monitored and dealt with appropriately. Contact details for
individual sellers are readily available
on the site.
Remember, our members sell used (and some new) books, all sorts of books. Their business is buying and selling antiquarian, second hand, collectable and out of print books and ephemera of all kinds and they know their stock. Whether you are looking for a book just for reading, collecting first editions, hunting for that elusive tome remembered from childhood or looking for a fine condition signed or limited edition they should be able to help. They even have books from the earliest days of printing, incunabula, black letter books and some hand-written scripts.
